Two convicts. Three hostages. Multiple bottles of wine. What could possibly go wrong?
When two escaped convicts burst into an ordinary family home, they expect to capture some frightened hostages. What they get instead is Margaret, a woman struggling to maintain her sanity whilst in the throws of menopause, her husband George, a man fully embracing his midlife crisis and Margaret’s unapologetically eccentric, free-spirited mother Barbara.
This isn’t quite the hostage situation Denise and Estelle had planned and as tensions rise, wine flows and everyone’s idea of who is actually in charge begins to unravel, the line between captor and captive becomes increasingly blurred.
Hostage & Hospitality is an original comedy about family, friendship, midlife mayhem and the wonderfully unpredictable chaos that happens when a very bad situation meets a very particular group of people.
Expect laughs, unlikely alliances, questionable decisions… and quite a lot of wine.
