Elvira's is your local community coffee shop and the bustling heart of the Henderson Hub.
Run mainly by a team of friendly volunteers, our aim is to offer you affordable, tasty and ethically made drinks and lunches in our unique, comfortable and relaxed space.

Elvira Henderson
Elvira’s is named after Elvira Henderson, the wife of Henry Henderson who built the original Henderson Hall over 100 years ago in her memory for the benefit of the people of Abbots Langley. Sadly, Elvira died in childbirth with her fifth child at the age of 31. A photograph of Elvira takes pride of place in our coffee shop.

Afternoon tea is held at Elvira’s the third Wednesday of every month!
3.30pm - 5.30pm - £16.50 per person
Treat yourself to a delicious afternoon tea for only £16.50 per person! Enjoy a selection of savoury sandwiches, warm scones and a gorgeous variety of homemade cakes. Pair with a cup of coffee or choose from our selection of teas!

- Quiz & Fizz -
Our Quiz & Fizz night runs the last Thursday of every month!
7.30pm - £13 per person
Join us for a fun filled evening at Quiz & Fizz! Bring your own team (up to 4 people) or join one here and challenge yourself to our monthly quiz! Enjoy with a glass of fizz and canapés as well as a raffle with prizes!

7th & 14th April - 3.30pm - 5.30pm - £12 (both sessions)
This April we are running Sew & Sip workshops at Elvira’s!
Led by instructors June & Hilary, these two hour workshops will teach you about the mechanics of your sewing machine. Please bring your sewing machine with bobbins - we will provide the materials for you to practice on!
Join us for this informative and relaxing session where you will be able to learn more about your sewing machine whilst enjoying refreshments such as tea, coffee, cake and even a glass of wine!

Our Community Art Wall is a space in Elvira’s for ANYONE to display their art.
So if you’re someone who has never had their art hanging in a public space, then this is your chance!
Open to absolutely every one of ALL AGES, the space is FREE to reserve for a couple of week.
